Brethren in Christ Bursary

Brethren in Christ Bursary, up to 8,000 available per semester (1 available)

This bursary is available to returning students of Providence University College & Theological Seminary, coming from the Brethren in Christ Church in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana or South Africa. To apply for this bursary, applicants must submit an essay of 200 words outlining their interest in continued studies at Providence University College & Theological Seminary. Please comment on how this bursary will assist you in meeting your financial needs in attending Providence. A letter of reference/recommendation from a faculty member at Providence University College & Theological Seminary is required with this application.

Kleefeld Christian Community International Bursary

Kleefeld Christian Community International Bursary, $1500 (1 available)

This one-time bursary is available to one returning University College student who demonstrate financial need, and who intend to go into Christian ministry. Applicants must submit a 400 word essay on how they intend to use their education for future Christian Ministry.

Music Bursary

Music Bursary, Sponsored by the Kuhl Foundation $500 (5 available)

Mission Statement of the Foundation: To perpetuate John Douglas Kuhl’s “love of music for its own sake” by encouraging the growth—by way of instrument loans or cash grants—of music-focused institutions and/or musicians originating in Manitoba.

This bursary is available to a new or returning full-time student enrolling in a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Music. Applicants must submit a brief resume of their musical activities, and a 400 word essay.

Neufeld Family Bursary

Neufeld Family Bursary, $1000 (1 available)

This one time bursary is available to a student at Providence enrolled in a degree program. The recipient must demonstrate financial need and show basic Christian character and aptitude for ministry. Preference will be given to an international student.

The David Moravec Memorial Bursary

The David Moravec Memorial Bursary, $250 (1 available)

This is a one-time award available to a returning student. Applicants must demonstrate a need for financial assistance, and are required to submit a letter of reference from a pastor. In addition, each applicant must submit an essay stating how studying at Providence is making a difference in their life.

This is a one-time award available to a returning student. Applicants must demonstrate a need for financial assistance and are required to submit a letter of reference from a pastor. In addition, each applicant must submit an essay stating how studying at Providence is making a difference in their life.

The Ken R. Friesen Memorial Bursary

The Ken R. Friesen Memorial Bursary, $500 (2 available)

This is a one-time award that is available to a returning student who expresses interest in continuing their studies in the field of Youth Leadership. Applicants must demonstrate a need for financial assistance. Applicants are required to submit a letter of reference from a Pastor. In addition, each applicant must submit an essay stating how studying at Providence is preparing him/her for life in Youth Ministry.

The McGill Friesen Humanitarian Bursary

The McGill Friesen Humanitarian Bursary, $1000 (1 available)

This is a one-time award that is available to a returning student who expresses interest in project development or humanitarian aid. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and demonstrate good potential for Christian leadership. Applicants are required to submit a letter of reference from their sponsoring agency. In addition, each applicant must submit an essay outlining their project and how studying at Providence is preparing him/her for involvement in a developing country.

The Peter and Esther Dyck Family Bursary

The Peter and Esther Dyck Family Bursary, $1000 (Up to 5 available)

This one-time bursary is available annually to students attending Albright Church in Winnipeg as regular attendees or participants in the youth program. Applicants must submit a 400 word essay on how studying at Providence will make a difference in their life.
