Christ-Centred University Education

Major Summary

The Mathematics program may be used to obtain a minor or concentration, or its courses may simply be used to fulfill the general requirements of Mathematics/Science. It suits students who enjoy learning usable mathematics and want to use the skills in their careers especially well. The Mathematics minor specifically is designed to enable graduates to develop a strong problem-solving skill set and logical, analytical, and mathematical way of thinking. Students will learn to solve real-life problems in many fields of knowledge using math, including science, technology, and business, among others.

The minor also prepares students to study math at a higher level. Students can acquire transferable credits in mathematics in preparation for entry to a post-degree Bachelor of Education program, as Mathematics is a “teachable” subject of a secondary degree in Business.
