Program of Study - T.E.S.O.L.
Students studying TESOL can take a one-year certificate, or combine as a minor or major within a Degree program. TESOL can also be done in conjunction with a major such as Social Science, Music, or Inter-cultural Studies. Students can take a Major or a Minor in TESOL. Both the Major and Minor incorporate the TESOL certificate. The TESOL Minor can be taken alongside any other Major. The Major includes a practicum experience of teaching in a cross-cultural setting for a minimum of 60 hours of teaching.
All students in degree programs are required to take a minimum of courses in a variety of general arts and sciences so as to enable them to acquire an adequate foundation and context for their chosen area of studies, and to develop a critical appreciation of scholarship in general.
Biblical and Theological Studies establish anchor points for effective Christian thinking, living, and serving in the church and in society. The Humanities, Social Sciences, and Sciences deepen the understanding and heighten the appreciation of human nature, thoughts, cultures, and societies. Music and Theatre foster the musical and dramatic expression of the human spirit, condition, and experience.
