Put Your Ideals to Work
We are a Christian business program in a Christian College, which means we'll challenge you to think about how to reconcile your work with your faith. That's not always an easy thing to do, but is a rewarding experience to try.
Starting Small
We emphasize the application of business ideas specifically to small and family businesses.
- Some students started their own micro-enterprises in high school.
- Other students learned about business around the kitchen table from parents who started and run their own businesses.
- Still others come to the program thinking about starting their own business when they graduate.
Even if you don’t fit into any of these categories, chances are your first job after you graduate will be in small business. That’s where the jobs are, and that’s who is creating the most new business opportunities.
Finishing Big
Emphasizing small business doesn’t mean lowering your horizons.
You will learn the skills you need to succeed in all kinds of business.
- We teach from a small buisness perspective, but the skills you learn you'll use even in larger corporations.
- Our international student body brings a wealth of perspectives on how business is done in Canada and in other parts of the world.
- Our courses are recognized by universities and transfer easily to many other institutions.
The Providence Experience in the Business program
Providence provides an education that you can take personally. Friendships built here become friendships for life.
The small class sizes means you are more than just a number. You'll receive personal attention from your professors. They'll encourage you to participate in class, to share your ideas, and think through the issues.
The Business program places a strong emphasis on team learning. Almost every course has group projects and presentations. Mastering the skills of team leadership and participation, of shared ideas and shared responsibilities is not easy, but these skills will be vital to your success in the business world - and in life.
