New Scholarship Awarded
Brandon Spencer Post

Last summer a generous donor provided a legacy for a $1000 scholarship which will be awarded each year to a student who has a business major and is also involved in music at Providence University College. This year the scholarship goes to Brandon Spencer Post. Brandon grew up in Germanic Europe. He plans to use his degrees to work in music recording, with churches & with mission organizations. He notes, “Providence University College has given me the training I need to be effective in all of these areas.”

The $25,000 donation that supports this annual scholarship was made to the Winnipeg Foundation and is credited to the Providence Education Fund. In a recent letter, Providence learned that the Winnipeg Foundation has matched the donation with an additional grant of $16,591. The letter also noted that in 2013 Providence is eligible to receive up to $12,897 dollars in matching grants from the Foundation for donations contributed to the Providence Education Fund. The Winnipeg Foundation provides one dollar for every five dollars donated to the Fund. Providence thanks the donor and the Winnipeg Foundation for their generous support to teach people to grow in knowledge and character for leadership and service.
