Required Documents

In order for you to begin flying, Harv's Air and Providence require that you have the following documents on-hand for Thursday, August 24:

  • Canadian Aviation Medical: Category 1  |  Find the nearest doctor
  • Proof of Citizenship (at least TWO of the following):
    • Birth Certificate
    • Passport
    • Driver's License



In the meantime, be sure that you are carefully studying the material given in the PSTAR links below along with the PSTAR Answer Key document that has been provided. You are also required to purchase the Private Pilot Groundschool and the Flight Kits at

Remember that you will be writing the PSTAR exam as based on the PSTAR course and the materials listed above. You will need 90% on the PSTAR test as well as an acceptable flight evaluation to pass the Camp Assessment. A satisfactory Camp assessment and passing of the PSTAR will allow you to continue in the Aviation program.


Anticipated Costs

These accommodations and food costs MUST be paid at the Business Office prior to the start of the camps and all flying expenses will be paid to Harv's Air prior to the camp.

20 hours of Ground Instruction $820.00  
PSTAR Writing Fee $40.00  
12 hours of Dual Instruction $2,208.00  
Tax $169.15

***During these mornings, the international students will be at the International Student Orientation. All other students will fly on these mornings.

For every day of the camp (except Sunday) The following time schedule will apply:

0800   Breakfast starts at Providence

0830   Transportation departs from Providence

0900   Arrive at Harv's Air

           Prayer and morning briefings

           Ground School

0930   Flights

1100   Preparatory Ground Instruction

1200   Lunch (Packed)

1230   Ground School

1445   Break

1500   Ground School

1630   Debriefings and homework assignments

1700   Depart for Providence

1745   Dinner at Providence
