Distance Education and Directed Reading Students:

If you are a Distance Education or a Directed Readings student and you live in Winnipeg, please plan to visit the Providence College and Seminary campus and get a student card with your picture on it. This card will allow you to borrow materials from the Providence Library and libraries of other post-secondary institutions in Winnipeg. Contact the library by email to arrange a time to get your picture taken and receive your student card.

If you are taking a directed readings course, in all likelihood your instructor will give you a list of required readings. You should plan to purchase these materials from the Providence College & Seminary Bookstore. If you are required to do additional readings, you can contact Martha Loeppky by email or by phone at 204-433-7488 ext 279 to discuss how materials will be sent to you. If you require additional assistance doing research or determining what materials you should be using, contact Terry Kennedy by email or call 204-433-7488 ext 280 for additional assistance.

If you need access to the databases to which the Library subscribes, you will need a user name and password. Contact Fred Wiens by email to arrange access.

If you are taking an online course through Providence College or Seminary you will receive a user name and password that will give you access to the databases to which the Providence Library subscribes. This access is inside the course itself. There are some general instructions on using the databases within your course.
