Providence University College and Seminary is chartered by the Province of Manitoba to offer Bachelor, Masters, and Doctoral degrees.  The University of Manitoba accepts Providence four-year Bachelor degrees to meet the requirements for entry into graduate studies.  The Province of Manitoba recognizes Providence three-year degrees toward teacher certification along with a Bachelor of Education from a public university.

Providence University College is accredited by the Association of Biblical Higher Education (ABHE).  ABHE has existed since 1947 and is recognized by the United States Secretary of Education as the national accrediting agency for Bible Colleges in the U.S. ABHE is also recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) as a National Institutional Accrediting Agency. In addition the Providence TESOL program is accredited by TESL Canada, an internationally recognized accrediting agency for teaching English to speakers of other languages.

Providence Theological Seminary has been accredited by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) in the United States and Canada since 1992. ATS has functioned as an accrediting agency since 1936 and is recognized by the United States Secretary of Education for accrediting theological schools for graduate education in ministry training. ATS is also recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) as a National Institutional Accrediting Agency.
