Accountant

The successfuly candidate will be involved in all accounting functions required to produce completed financial statements. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing month-end and year-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations. Reporting to the VP of Administration/Chief Financial Officer, the ideal candidate will have a Canadian CPA designation and experience in not-for-profits. The position has the potential of eveolving into a Controller position encompassing all aspects of accounting at Providence.

Associate Registrar

The Enrollment Management Department invites applications for the position of Associate Registrar – Records and Systems.  Candidates with a strong Christian value system and lifestyle, and a commitment to Christ-centered University education are encouraged to apply.   

The Associate Registrar – Records and Systems position is a full-time, 12-month position, which works in the Registrar’s Office to offer student-centered service.  We are looking for someone to be a records and systems specialist.  The ideal candidate will have an expert level competence with MS Office and database applications.  A Bachelor’s Degree is required, and Master’s Degree preferred.  Strong organizational and detail management skills, above average communication skills, and a customer service attitude.

Community Life Coordinator

Providence invites applications for a full-time Community Life Coordinator, beginning June 12, 2017.  The application period will remain open until a suitable candidate is hired.

The Community Life Coordinator works within the Student Development department to foster the growth of the campus community through event programming and the facilitation of the student leadership program. Event programming and student leadership are grounded in the institutional mission of “knowledge and character for leadership and service”, which involves facilitating a Christ-centered environment for the student body, promoting community connections, a healthy lifestyle, and holistic growth and development. The Community Life Coordinator is required to live on campus in the apartment that is provided for them.  In addition to a competitive salary, the Community Life Coordinator will receive Room and Partial Board.  This is a full time permanent position with a 37.5 hours per week work schedule.

Female Resident Director

Providence invites applications for a full-time Female Resident Director, beginning June 12, 2017.  The application period will remain open until April 30, 2017.

The Female Resident Director works within the Student Development department and is responsible for the day to day management of the female residences.  Duties include:  mentoring, training, and supervision of female student leaders (Resident Assistants), building relationships with residence students, holistic programming, discipline and restorative justice initiatives, conflict resolution, resident room placement, administration, crisis management, etc.

The Resident Director is required to live on campus in the apartment that is provided for them.  In addition to a competitive salary, the Resident Director will receive Room and Board.  This is a 24 month contract position with a 37.5 hours per week work schedule. After the first 24 months, the position will be reviewed on an annual basis.

Library Technician

The successful candidate will be involved in many aspects of library service. The Library Technician 2 will be responsible for cataloguing (copy and original) and classification (DDC 21) of library materials, ILL verification and processing, all aspects of technical processing including ordering and maintenance of supplies. Additionally, the position includes preparing materials for binding, maintenance of the physical library collection, organizing the annual book sale and circulation and reference duties. The positon requires a library technician diploma and an undergraduate degree.
