Community Life at Providence
Your experience as a Providence student is about more than just the time you spend in class. Life outside the classroom is just as important to your growth and learning as what happens inside the classroom. Whether you are volunteering, involved in student leadership, participating in spiritual growth events, making friends from other countries, discussing new ideas with students in your residence, or getting to know the faculty and staff, you will be impacted as you open yourself up to learning from others. Together we create this type of learning community.
All those who enter our community agree to live and learn together in a way that is beneficial for all, and they indicate this by signing our Covenant of Community Life. Our Covenant is founded on biblical principles and puts Jesus as the head of all that we do and learn. Important principles include respecting the differences in others, loving those around us, sacrificing self for others and working towards restoration when things go wrong. We trust that you will develop close, authentic relationships with other learners as we seek to learn together in community.
