The Opportunity

A great way for alumni to influence and encourage the next generation of students is by giving back. Through IMPACT 2020 and various other forms of giving, you can be a part of the transformative work of Providence. We appreciate your involvement in the life of Providence and especially in the lives of our students.

Donate Now Through CanadaHelps.org!

The vision of Providence is to be identified among Canada's foremost Christian universities as a learning community that transforms students into leaders of character, knowledge and faith, to serve Christ in a changing world. That's why we've launched IMPACT 2020: The Campaign for Providence. This campaign will allow us to continue making a difference in Manitoba, throughout Canada and around the world.

Other Ways to Give

THE ALUMNI BURSARY FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

Provide a prospective student with financial assistance by applying for an Alumni Bursary on their behalf. There are approximately 20 Alumni Bursaries available each year. This one-time $500 bursary is available to new students entering Providence University College or Providence Theological Seminary. An additional $250 is available should the student choose to live in residence. The bursary application must be completed by a Providence (WBC, WBI) alumnus or alumna on behalf of the prospective student in advance of the entrance application process. This bursary is available with any other external bursary or scholarship.

ADOPT-A-STUDENT PROGRAM

7% of the amount it takes to educate a student is not covered by tuition or government funding. For just $30.00 a month you can make a difference in the life of a student. Adopt-a-Student Form

BUY A BOOK PROJECT

Our “Buy a Book” project allows alumni to purchase a book for the William Falk Library in the subject of their choice. Subjects include: anthropology, aviation, biblical and theological studies, business administration, communications and media, counselling, history, music, TESOL, psychology, philosophy, science, social science, and sociology. It costs an average of $40.00 to purchase a book and in appreciation of your donation, each book sponsored will display the name of the sponsor expressing to the reader that this book had been made available because of you. Donate online or send a cheque marked "Buy a Book" with the topic of your choice.
