In 1995 Jason was a Red Shirt at the University of Manitoba and was a part of the National Championship team. After this season in 1996, Jason was the starting middle for the University of Manitoba Jr. team and won the National Championship. Jason was a 1st Team Western Canadian All-Star in 1997. Jason played for Providence for three seasons. He was a member of the 2001 double National Championship team (NIRSA/ NCCAA). Peters was a two time All American player – NIRSA Div II (2000, 2001), and NCCAA All American in 2001.
Jason Peters is heading into his 12th season as Head coach of the PUC men’s volleyball team. Peters coached the Freemen to four NIVC Conference Championships over his 10 seasons with the Freemen. Peters also lead his team to 2 NIVC Runner Up awards, 7 Top Ten Finishes at Nationals, 2 National Silver Medals, and 2 National Bronze Medals. Peters has now coached one season under the new Pilots name. Peters coaching experience extends from Providence to Team Manitoba. Coach Peters was the assistant coach of the Team Manitoba Midget team in 1997. Peters areas of expertise are in blocking, serving, offensive techniques and strategy.
