Pilots club program graduate joins varsity men’s volleyball team
2017-04-12

Jacob Brown won’t have far to go when he makes the move to Providence.

The 6’3” right side, who recently signed his letter of intent at the Otterburne campus, grew up in nearby St-Pierre-Jolys, where he represented the Ecole Communautaire Real-Berard Jaguars. A Provincial All Star in 2014, he was named MVP of the Dominion City Invitational Tournament in 2015 and took home a Provincial Gold Medal as part of the Winman 17U club in 2016.

This past season he played for the Junior Pilots and, like more and more of the Providence club athletes, made the jump to the varsity squad.

“I am honoured to be part of the Providence Athletics program and am excited to start training with the team,” said Brown.

Added head coach Scott Masterson: “Jacob is a very strong player with a heavy arm. He is an offensive threat from the front row as well as the back row, and we’re excited for what he’s going to bring to our team both on and off the court.”
