Pilots women’s soccer team signs…a pilot!
“Arden will be a true Pilots women’s soccer player!”
Head coach Tory Walker is already looking forward to working with Arden Van de Mosselaer, who recently signed her letter of intent at Providence. The versatile defender and midfielder, who comes with a good shot from distance, will represent the Pilots from the start of next season, when she’ll also be studying Aviation at the Otterburne campus.
“I haven’t known Arden very long, but she has already shown some great character and dedication to the soccer program,” says Walker. “With our team already having a lot of character I know she’ll fit right in.”
Van de Mosselaer, who volunteered with the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, has won numerous city championships with club side Charleswood Thunder and in 2016 was a runner-up in the provincial championship as part of the St. Mary’s Academy Flames. Off the field she enjoys swimming, travelling and cooking.
“I’m excited to join the Providence Pilots because of the connection the girls have for each other and the support and guidance given by the coaching staff,” she says.
Adds Walker: “I am excited to get the spring signings started with the addition of Arden.”
