The Pilots returned home from a long Christmas break with back to back games against the top two teams in the MCAC. Heading into the break the Pilots were 6-7 with hopes of ending a 3 game losing streak.

Providence started the game against the Rebels struggling to find their shot and with a few timely turnovers they were quickly down 10 points. Red River, who held the lead throughout the half, was able to build the lead to 15 points going into the half. Providence kept the game within reach hoping to stay with the Rebels, and go on a run of their own. The Pilots were not able to build enough momentum to overcome the Rebels, falling 86-63 in the first game of the semester.

Day two was much of the same as the Pilots traveled down town to the Duckworth Centre. A fast paced College Wesmen team was able to outgun the Pilots in the first half taking a strong lead. The Wesmen would not let go of that lead as they would take the game 80-45. Providence is looking forward to the return of their starting point guard Romeo KC who was absent this past weekend. With a tough weekend behind them, the Pilots will look to bounce back against Les Rouges in Otterburne on Saturday.
