Scott Masterson has a long history with Providence University College. He started as a student athlete playing for the men’s volleyball team before joining the Providence staff, where he was the Head of Grounds. It was not long before he was added to the athletics department as the Assistant Director of Athletics.
Scott was recognized for his natural athletic ability and quick understanding of all sport strategy when he was named the head coach of women’s soccer. It was under his coaching that the lady Freemen made their first national appearance. His team finished 3rd at nationals, and still stands as the highest finish at nationals for the lady Freemen.
Scott’s athletic passion had been with volleyball, and in 2010 Scott was named the head coach of women’s volleyball. In his three years with the women’s volleyball team he has won 3 regional titles in the NCCAA, and 2 MCAC championships. In 2013, Scott looks to make it 3 straight MCAC titles.
Scott is a multi sport athlete who has competed in volleyball, basketball, hockey, baseball, tennis, and golf. Scott was the founder of the Steinbach tennis club, and has spent time as a tennis coach. Scott currently competes leisurely in golf at the Steinbach Fly In Golf Course. A little known fact is that Scott has dabbled in the world of male modeling, and currently resides as the pretty boy of the office with Blue Steel being his strongest look. (not written by Scott)
